PLAINVIEW — ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ celebrates today the successful completion of its three-year Thrive Campaign, raising more than $19.5 million and surpassing its original $18 million goal by more than $1.5 million.
The comprehensive campaign has fueled projects that support students across every area of university life, from academic programs to student services and campus enhancements.
Launched in 2022, the Thrive Campaign has focused on strengthening four major pillars of the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ experience: academic excellence, campus improvements, athletics, and Ignite ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, a strategic initiative using technology to enhance recruitment and marketing.
“The Thrive Campaign has touched every corner of our university,” said Dr. Donna Hedgepath, university president. “From academic programming to new resources for student support, these investments are already having a profound impact. The generosity of our donors helps ensure that ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ students continue to thrive both in the classroom and in life beyond our campus.”
The campaign shattered records for the number of donors in fiscal year 2023 and 2025 and set a record for any three-year period. Federal grants were secured to support first-generation and military-affiliated students through scholarships, staffing, and programs such as the Summer Bridge Program and a new Veteran Success Center.
Mike Hammack, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, emphasized the significance of the milestone.
“Christian higher education faces serious challenges today, but this campaign proves that our supporters believe in the mission and future of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½. Their gifts are already making a difference in the lives of students, and we are grateful for that trust,” he said.
Campaign funds enabled numerous projects, including:
Additional investments improved student life and campus infrastructure. Projects included renovations to Pete’s Place student lounge, significant investments in new vehicles, campus impact projects such as beautification and restoration ventures, enhancements for campus safety, and strategic investments in spiritual life programming. The university is also using campaign funds to match first-generation scholarships. A replacement for the main scoreboard in the Hutcherson Center is also slated for future implementation.
The Thrive campaign has helped lay a strong foundation for the years ahead.
“This is not just a celebration of dollars raised,” said Dr. Hedgepath. “It's a celebration of the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ mission moving forward with purpose, vision, and faith.”
